Former organ scholar at Truro Cathedral, Nicholas Wearne, will be returning to old haunts to give an evening concert on the Father Willis Organ on Wednesday, October 21 from 7.40pm.
Nicholas Wearne combines the posts of Junior Fellow and Teaching Assistant to the Head of Organ Studies at Birmingham Conservatoire with a busy freelance career as recitalist and pianist, which has taken him to many parts of the world.
He is an experienced accompanist who has performed extensively in Asia, Canada, Europe and the US, Nicholas has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4, on Classic FM, the BBC World Service and BBC Television. Organisers have said that is is a real pleasure to have him return to the cathedral for this concert.
He has also worked widely as a continuo player and performed with the Academy of Ancient Music, the European Union Baroque Orchestra and the Dunedin Consort in venues which include the Barbican.
Nicholas Wearne will be playing a programme which includes master works by Bach and Reger All welcome and tickets are £10, students £5, and under18s free, and can be brought on the door.
