Duran Duran have been announced as headliners for the finale of BBC Music Day at the Eden Project.

Returning for its second year, BBC Music Day celebrates all types of music from around the UK and the Channel Islands, bringing live music to people through a range of events around the theme of collaboration, with the aim of uniting communities across different generations.

Duran Duran said: "We're really proud to be ambassadors for BBC Music Day and to bring the Paper Gods tour to the stunning surroundings of the Eden Project. We've wanted to play there for many years. We love the idea of BBC Music Day; it's a fantastic way to bring people together across the country and to promote live music.

"So, whether it’s taking part in one of the events or watching or listening to the artists who are part of this year’s celebration, we hope everyone gets involved in this very exciting initiative."

The 6,000 capacity concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 as part of a four hour special hosted by Sara Cox from 8pm to midnight. BBC One’s The One Show will also be coming live from the Eden Project in the build up to the concert.

Duran Duran live at Eden with BBC Music Day will start from 6pm on Friday, June 3.

Tickets cost £57.50 and are available online now at www.edenproject.com/bbc-music-day.
