American power pop troupe, We Are Scientists, are set to perform in Falmouth later this year.
The Brooklyn based band, who released their fifth album, Helter Seltzer, earlier this year via 100% Records, are returning to the road to tour in October with a stop at Princess Pavilion included on their schedule.
Formed on the West Coast by three California-based college students, We Are Scientists officially took flight after frontman, Keith Murray, bass player, Chris Cain, and drummer, Michael Tapper, relocated to Brooklyn and began building a small devoted following.
After releasing three EPs and one independent album, the group signed with Virgin Records and released their major-label debut, With Love and Squalor, in 2006. Although the band was modestly popular in America, the album became a gold-selling hit in the UK, where the band's sound of part post-punk revival and part indie rock, with a touch of '80s synth pop drew parallels to popular bands like the Editors, Franz Ferdinand, and the Killers.
We are Scientists will be at Princess Pavilion on Thursday, October 13 at 8pm.
Tickets cost £16.50 and are available from the Pavilion box office on 01326 211222, or online at princesspavilion.co.uk.
