An English punk rock band cited by Nirvana, Green Day and REM as a central influence is coming to Falmouth as part of the band's 40th anniversary tour.

Buzzcocks are set to play at the Princess Pavilion next Saturday in collaboration with What We Do Is Secret.

Regarded as the pioneers of the Manchester music scene, the independent record label movement, punk rock, power pop and indie rock, the band's seminal albums include epics such as Another Music in a Different Kitchen, Love Bites and A Different Kind of Tension.

Buzzcocks will be supported at the Pavilion by two of Cornwall's most exciting punk/rock bands, Bastard and The Black Tambourines. Bastard are a band described as the mutant offspring of rock n' roll's forbidden fruits, whose unholy development rapidly gathered momentum from their forbidden bunker hidden deep within the Cornish countryside, and Falmouth-based, The Black Tambourines are a band that rock hard and blow minds.

Buzzcocks will be playing at the Princess Pavilion on Saturday, October 29 at 8pm.

At the time of going to print there are only 50 tickets left.

Tickets cost £21.50 and are available from the Pavilion box office on 01326 211222, or online at princesspavilion.co.uk.
