A renowned lutenist is performing a concert of Elizabethan music in Flushing this Friday.
Ben Salfield, from Truro, is playing the concert as part of the village's series of recitals in the Flushing Arts Chamber Classics programme, which is produced in association with locally based publicists, Kernow Concerts.
Ben, who has already performed across Europe, and is set to perform on the unique 10-course lutar, will play music mainly from the Elizabethan era from England and Spain at his Flushing concert.
The first half of the concert will feature vihuela music from the 1530s, composed by Luys de Milán and Luys de Narváez. This will be contrasted in the second half with classic lute music by John Dowland.
Ben Salfield will be at St Peter's Church in Flushing on Friday, October 28 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £7.50 and are available by calling 01326 374237.
