Eurovision winners, Bucks Fizz have been confirmed to perform at the Regal Theatre Redruth next spring.

Now officially known as Cheryl, Mike & Jay Formerly of Bucks Fizz plus Bobby McVay, the group's performance in Redruth marks a special date.

Cheryl Baker said: “On this night at the Regal Theatre Redruth (11th March) marks the anniversary of Bucks Fizz winning song for Europe which saw them go through to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest and win!”

The four strangers were brought together to form the group, Bucks Fizz, in 1981, and Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston, along with Bobby G, went on to win the Song For Europe and Eurovision Song Contest later that year, becoming household names around the world.

Over the next few years the band released more than 20 singles, including three number ones, My camera never lies, Land of make believe and of course, Making your mind up, which went to number one in nine countries.

They sold in excess of 15 million records and spent 219 weeks in the UK charts.

Cheryl, Mike & Jay Formerly of Bucks Fizz plus Bobby McVay will be at the Regal Theatre Redruth with their performance that still includes ripping the skirts off, on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 8pm.
