Roy G Hemmings, showman and dynamic singer and one of the longest serving former members of Motown icons The Drifters, is coming to Redruth in February.

Roy has entertained audiences around the world with his easy, relaxed style and fabulous voice in a career that spans four decades and includes appearances in several Royal Variety shows and two White House performances for Bill Clinton.

As a highly respected artist and singer Roy enjoyed major success when he signed a recording deal with Magnet Records in the mid-70s with the J.A.L.N. Band, who hit the British charts with Disco Music, I Like It.

Roy is currently touring with his shows Hits Of Motown and The Dictionary Of Soul, both of which feature The Love Supremes with their smooth harmonies and slick dance routines.

This show feature some of the classic Motown hits, by The Drifters, The Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Ritchie, to name but a few. It includes such classic hits as Stop In The Name Of Love, Dancing In The Street, I Can't Help Myself, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, My Girl, Reach Out I'll Be There.

The show will be at the Regal Theatre in Redruth on February 4, with tickets ranging from £16.50 to £28.50.
