An American based rocker will be coming to Cornwall as part of a tour to publicise his new release called The Field, The Forest.

Joseph Parsons, hailing from Philadelphia, will be playing two shows in Cornwall in April.

The first will be at No. 8 Cafe in Launceston on Thursday 20, then The Acorn in Penzance on Friday 21.

Joseph will be touring with his latest release, which is described as "a double EP package which focuses on two distinctive writing styles."

For these shows Joseph will be performing as a duo, with talented guitarist Freddi Lubitz.

A prolific songwriter, recording artist and performer, Joseph has over 20 commercial label releases in his back catalogue.

He made his name by "consistently delivering exceptional song driven albums alongside a rigorous touring schedule throughout Europe and the US."

His music weaves elements of rock, folk and soul into a distinct and authentic sound.

Both as a solo artist and with his band, Joseph is known for his dynamic, spirited and moving stage performances.

Joseph and Freddi will be joined on this tour by the Doghouse Roses, a highly-acclaimed fold duo from Glasgow formed by guitarist Paul Tasker and singer Iona Macdonald.
