London indie superstars Bastille are set to headline a show at the Eden Sessions on Thursday, June 15.

The quartet released their second studio album, Wild World, in September 2016 to critical acclaim, and even reached number one in the UK album charts.

Wild World followed the bands acclaimed 2013 debut Bad Blood, which also hit the top of the UK charts and was certified double platinum.

Now they are set to wow crowds in Cornwall as they take to the stage in one of the county's biggest venues.

The bands first album stayed in the UK top 20 for two years, was the most downloaded album of 2013 and the second most-streamed.

The record included the single Pompeii, which has now been viewed nearly 290 million times on YouTube.

Bastille were the first band to ever play the British Museum when they were invited to perform Pompeii at the opening of the Life & Death Pompeii & Herculaneum exhibition.

Their achievements have been recognised by awards judge, with nominations for four BRIT awards, a Grammy nomination, two nominations from the American Music Association awards and a Teen Choice Award in the US for best rock song.

Rita Broe, Eden's marketing director, said: "Bastille are one of the biggest and most exciting British bands around right now and we’re very proud to be bringing them to the Eden Sessions this summer.

"Their sound will brilliantly complement the Eden atmosphere and it’s sure to be a very special night.”

Tickets for the concert cost £40 plus a five pound booking fee, and are on sale to members of the Inside Track programme now.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 14 at 5.30pm.

The Eden Sessions enter their sixteenth year this year, and last year Lionel Richie, Tom Jones, PJ Harvey, Manic Street Preachers and Jess Glynne all graced the stage.
