The fifth annual Falmouth Folk and Cider Fayre gets underway on Event’s Square on Friday, April 14, with an evening of high energy ceilidh and a barn dance which is followed by a weekend of folk and acoustic artists - plus of course, plenty of cider.

Playing over the weekend from midday will be the likes of folk roots story tellers The Grenaways; new age folk from Gloucestershire’s Folklaw; Falmouth’s very own folk rock act, Jonah's Lift; internationally renowned singer songwriter Sarah McQuaid; Cornish songs from The Oggymen, plus trad folk from Caracana, Salt & Sky, The Falmouth Session, Foxes Fair and many more.

In addition to soaking up the atmosphere and the music, visitors will also get the chance to try over 50 guest specialist ciders from around the country.

With a free arts and craft market, food stands, the exceptional cider and high standard of entertainment on offer, organisers are promising 2017 will be a vintage year for the Falmouth Folk and Cider Festival.

Admission to the art and craft market is free, but tickets are needed for the cider and music. For more information go to seetickets.com or call 0871 2200260. The festival runs from 7pm until 11pm on Friday; noon until 11pm on Saturday and Sunday and from noon until 5pm on Monday.
