The Regal Theatre in Redruth is preparing to stage a couple of hit-packed shows featuring music from the 1950s to the 1970s.

First up, on Saturday, June 24, is the Supersonic 70s Show which is described as "the most explosive show in theatre land” and “the best 70s show of its kind- West End quality.”

Led by the Catsuit Wondergirl, Janey Bombshell, Supersonic 70s will take you back to when pop was at its peak. From the towering majesty of Queen, ELO and the Carpenters, the ‘pin-up pop’ of The Osmonds, David Essex and David Cassidy, and the foot stomping glam rock of Sweet, Mud and T Rex.

Add to that the classic sounds of Saturday Night Fever and Grease, and even those winning UK Eurovision hits, and plenty of humour, you have a sensational show simply too good to miss.

Then, the week after, on Saturday, July 1, Oh! Carol - tells the musical story of Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield, from their humble beginnings in Brooklyn to the dizzying heights of their success in the 50s and 60s. The song writing genius of Neil Sedaka and 'Howie' Howard Greenfield will go down in musical history as one of the most successful partnerships of all time.

This show is packed full of hits such as Calendar Girl, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, (Is This The Way To) Amarillo, Stupid Cupid and of course Oh! Carol - masterpieces made famous not only by Sedaka but also other well-known performers like Connie Francis, Tony Christie, Tom Jones and LaVern Baker.

The vocal talents of Damion Scarcella and Belinda Wollaston, backed by their band, take to the stage to bring you a show dedicated to celebrating these two giants of the song writing world with two hour's worth of songs and the stories behind them.
