Britpoppers Dodgy have shown they're good enough for Blondie as they join the 80s punk and new wave legends at the Eden Sessions on Friday, June 23.

The festival favourites, who shot to fame in the 1990s, released three albums in their seven years together and enjoyed 12 Top 40 singles, including Staying Out For The Summer, In A Room, If You’re Thinking Of Me and their massive signature hit Good Enough - one of the most played tracks on British radio in the last 20 years.

Eden’s marketing director Rita Broe said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Dodgy as special guests to Blondie in what promises to be an epic summer night in front of the biomes.”

Also on the bill at the Eden Sessions in 2017 are Bastille, Madness, Royal Blood, Van Morrison , Bryan Adams and Foals.

Recently announced as support for the Bastille concert is acclaimed London-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rationale.

Taking the stage before Madness will be Backbeat Soundsystem, the much-loved eight-piece reggae band from St Austell.

Supporting Royal Blood on June 22 are renowned Bristolian riff-ragers Turbowolf, bringing their signature brand of patchouli-drenched punk rock fury to Eden.

Paul Brady, Ruarri Joseph, Nathan Ball and Kezia will provide an afternoon of live music ahead of Van Morrison’s headline show on July 1.

And art pop pioneers Everything Everything will join Foals for an extra special Eden Session on July 11.

The Eden Sessions are now in their 16th year. Last year saw Lionel Richie, Tom Jones, PJ Harvey, Manic Street Preachers and Jess Glynne carry on the great tradition of bringing top UK and international acts to Eden.

The Eden Sessions also has its own free-to-view online TV channel, at youtube.com/edensessionstv, featuring regularly-updated videos of some of the gigs' finest shows.

Tickets to the Blondie Eden Session with special guests Dodgy are still available on edensessions.com priced £40 plus £5 booking fee.
