An international sonic melting pot of a band will be playing at the Mount Pleasant Eco Park Barn when The Turbans visit on Saturday May 19.

The band is made up of members from India, Mexico, Israel, Spain, and Turkey, and their sound is a mashup of Klezmer, Balkan, Gypsy, and folk music from around the world.

Their energetic sets make audiences spellbound, and draw on the rich cultural heritage from both the Levantine and Balkan regions, and they create original music for the 21st century inspired by ancient melodies.

Sonically huge and visually impressive, their live show embodies the skill, experience, and passion of intrepid instrumental explorers, pooling their energy and creativity in a spirit of generosity and openness.

Lafafa Catering will be taking over the La Cantina Café to serve up a Middle Eastern feast, featuring an Iranian stew, couscous, flatbread, and yoghurt with delicious sides of seasonal coleslaw with beetroot and celeriac, carrots and fresh herbs.

The Eco Park campsite is also open and running a special offer: gig, supper, and camping for just £30.
