CAN you hear the people sing? Well, you can this week as The Young Generation of Falmouth take on the challenge of one of the world’s best known musicals, Les Miserables.
Cornwall’s longest running, award winning youth theatre company, has chosen the school edition of the musical to perform at the Poly in Falmouth from Tuesday until August 3.
“If you haven’t seen the show before then this is a rare opportunity as the musical is not generally available to amateur drama societies,” said Sally Robinson, who is the show’s musical director.
“You will experience the same emotional drama as created by a professional team and enjoy the glorious musical numbers performed by the Youth Generation.”
The cast is made up of young people from Falmouth and Penryn as well as others from Camborne, Truro and Portscatho. Les Miserables is directed by Trenton Spear, a former YG member.
There are performances at 7.30pm each evening. Tickets are available from the www.thepoly.org .
