LONDON-based comedian Madge Hooks has packed up her suitcases and she’s heading to the Falmouth Comedy Floor this August 21 with her own budding new comdey routine.
While most comedians have migrated north to the Edinburgh Festival, Madge will be heading south to the Watersports Club, for a night of her wacky style of comedy. Madge was recently billed as ‘one of the ten best undiscovered comedy talents emerging from the London circuit’.
Also performing will be new comic Adam Bloom of Penwith Radio, who recently put on a show at Helston Community College to perform his first ever stand-up routine.
Martin Prowse who triumphed with his first ever comedy set at Arwenack’s Got Talent, has hinted at a last mintue appearance, while completing the bill is Cornwall based comedian Andy Rowe.
Falmouth Comedy Floor organiser Sophie Sweatman, of Falmouth, will be MC with the hope of warming the audience up with some improvisation, which has become part of her set since appearing at the new Creative Open Mic at Cribbs and for Penwith Radio.
After the last two events, comedians and visitors have flocked to the karaoke at Mango’s Bar and Club, which is now the after show party. DJ Nate Valentino, is supporting the comedy by playing acts’ walk on music and doing his unique style of DJing while visitors arrive before the comedy show.
The Falmouth Comedy Floor takes place on Wednesday, August 21, at the Falmouth Watersports Centre, doors open at 8pm, entry is £3.
