The Lost Gardens of Heligan will be home to one of Cornwall’s most celebrated |theatre groups when Kneehigh Theatre |premiere Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) within the historic grounds this Summerr.

From August 30 to September 28 the Kneehigh Asylum will be permanently pitched in the Lost Gardens of Heligan with daily performances of the new show Dead Dog in a Suitcase.

Visitors to the Asylym can arrive from 6pm to explore the Lost Gardens (which will remain open to the later time of 7.30pm) before the show.

They will also be able to enjoy a special two-course meal from the Heligan |restaurant which offers locally sourced food such as pulled pork baps with pumpkin slaw, lamb belly flatbread kebabs with cucamelon yoghurt.

Based on the Beggar's Opera, John Gay’s classic musical satire, Dead Dog in a suitcase (and other love songs) is full of “wit, wonder and weirdness”.
