THE Young Generation of Falmouth is delighted to be performing “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Poly this summer.
When the YG first took to the stage in 1982 “Joseph ” was its first production, and in those days it was almost impossible to get a licence from Superstar Ventures. But they managed it, and the YG has been performing shows at the Poly every summer since then.  This year’s production is the YG’s 37th major musical show. The lively young cast are very excited as they approach performances, have been in rehearsal since January. The story of the show is taken from the Old Testament and tells of Joseph, favourite son of Jacob, who is sold by his jealous brothers but ends up in Egypt as Pharaoh’s right-hand-man. The music is wonderful, the humour very entertaining, and the show will be a great and colourful evening’s entertainment for the whole family.  Trevor Gardiner is directing, Sally Robinson is the musical director, and Trenton Spear the choreographer.
