Redruth Amateur Operatic Society Trust are set to bring family favourite South Pacific to Redruth's Regal Theatre from October 20 to 24.

With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II this ageless musical oozes romance and great music with a smack of comedy to boot.

Director Gail Angove said: "This production promises to entertain. We have a very skilled cast headed by Helen Hartshorne as Nellie Forbush and Jonathan Tucker as Emile de Becque."

The large and talented cast and full orchestra will be performing favourites such as: Iā€™m gonna wash that man right outta my hair, and There is nothing like Dame, which are guaranteed to entertain.

The set, designed by Ben Blaber, is purpose built for the theatre and is sure to capture the essence of the location and period.

Once again RAOST are fielding a strong company with brilliant solo performances and strong ensemble vocals, Alastair Taylor ā€“ Musical Director.
