The Kernow King is coming to Falmouth with his latest production, Trevithick!

Ed Rowe, best known as Cornwall's much-loved Kernow King, will be premiering his new show at The Poly next month.

Trevithick! is a biographical comedy based on the true story of Richard Trevithick, who revolutionised the use of steam as a successful and profitable means of energy. It was his passion and genius that led to steam power being used in trains and cars.

One of Cornwall's greatest sons, Trevithick was steeped in accolade and loved by many, but his life was tinged by tragedy. The show, filled with music, comedy and facts, many of which are still relevant to the world we live in today, brings to the stage the story of a man who was dedicated and obsessed by engineering, but was also apparently as much an artist and magician as he was an engineer.

Directed by Kneehigh's associate director, Simon Harvey, Trevithick!, starring Kernow King and actress, Mary Woodvine, will be at The Poly on Thursday, May 12 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 concessions, £8 for children, and are available from The Poly box office on 01326 319461, or online at www.thepoly.org.
