Spymonkey are coming to Truro with their comedy tribute to the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.

The complete deaths is a show about the 74 onstage deaths in the works of William Shakespeare, which range from the Roman suicides in Julius Caesar and the carnage at the end of Hamlet to the death fall of Prince Arthur in King John and numerous other stabbings, severed heads and poisonings.

This solemn, sombre and yet sublimely funny show will be taking a humorous look at Shakespeare's approach to death in his works by scaling the peaks of sublime poetry and plumbing the depths of darkest depravity.

Adapted and directed by Tim Crouch, the show will be performed by Spymonkey, the Brighton-based physical comedy company who have been making deeply ridiculous theatre since 1998, including their last critically acclaimed show, Oedipussy.

Spymonkey will present The complete deaths at the Hall for Cornwall on Tuesday, May 31 at 7.30pm and Wednesday, June 1 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets are available form the Hall for Cornwall box office on 01872 262466, or online at www.hallforcornwall.co.uk.
