Helston Theatre Company are bringing the comical production of The Government Inspector to Epworth hall stage.

The company's annual summer play promises mishaps and laughter this year thanks to the farcical case of mistaken identity in the story.

Adapted by Philip Goulding and directed by Jim Downie, who is making his directing debut with Helston Theatre Company, the play is a satirical comedy which looks at human greed, stupidity and political corruption.

Phil Morley will be taking on the role of the corrupt mayor, and Carrie Thresher will be playing Maria in the production.

Phil last appeared in There Goes the Bride for Helston Theatre Company’s 2014 summer play, and Carrie most recently played Kath Casey in the company's successful production of Our House.

The Government Inspector will be performed at Epworth hall in Helston on August 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are available from Gillian’s Larder or online at www.helstontheatrecompany.co.uk.
