Cheap Date Dance Company are returning to Penzance with a laid bare story of love, sex and everything in between.

The Falmouth-based threesome, made up of Grace Clayton, Debbie Mason and Lauren Shuker, are back by popular demand with their deliciously brutal blend of comedy, dance and theatre where the private becomes public and normal rules do not apply.

The dance trio said: "‘How We Lost It’ is a piece about who we are now, where we’ve come from and asks what we’ve lost (and gained) in between. A coming of age story where we come to terms with the fact that our prince charming might look a little different to the fairy-tale, but hey, we don’t need saving anyway."

Cheap Date weave together their own stories about youth, love, sex and growing up, inviting the audience into their narrative and seducing them to revisit theirs with a candid message of empowerment and honesty.

Created and performed by Cheap Date, with dramaturgy by Simon Harvey from Kneehigh, How We Lost It is featured in Edinburgh Fringe’s own press release as one to watch.

How We Lost It will be at The Acorn in Penzance on Friday, October 7 at 8pm.

Tickets cost £11 for adults, £7 for children and are available from the box office on 01736 363545.
