A Cornish choreographer is returning to the county with her brand new production after leaving ten years ago to train at the prestigious dance school, LABAN.

Jennifer Fletcher is bringing her work home for the first time in a bold, comic new dance theatre show, The Very Important Child.

Following the development of the human ego, the show playfully explores the fragile baby living minute to minute, the "god-like" toddler and the adult who believes herself 'fully grown'.

A humorous and visual multi-discipline piece, The Very Important Child is a series of connected dances, it is also just a story about ordinary people. There are frenzied folk dances, wordless lyrical duets, comic observations of adult interaction and uplifting music.

During her time at LABAN, Jennifer began collaborating with composer, Christopher Preece. This led to a variety of shows throughout the UK and beyond with their company, The Mostly Everything People (TMEP)

The Very Important Child by TMEP will be at AMATA, Falmouth on Saturday, October 29 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 and are available online at amata.org.uk.
