Devon's Billy Bottle & The Multiple are bringing their "vox-popera" of democracy and voting to The Poly on Friday.

Set in the week running up to a UK general election, The Other Place tells the true story of two musicians from Devon (Billy Bottle and Martine) as they make their way slowly to Westminster.

Inspired by the foundations of British democracy, the story features a sequence of songs with lyrics made from the words of the voters (and non-voters) that Billy and Martine met on their journey. It invites the audience to make their voices heard.

The Multiple are Billy Bottle and Martine Waltier (both seen on BBC's The Voice), along with Roz Harding, Vivien Goodwin-Darke and Lee Fletcher.

Following on from their critically acclaimed album, Unrecorded Beam (the poetry of Thoreau), The Multiple combine folk, jazz, and pop in an engaging and meaningful way in their new people-power fuelled show.

Billy Bottle & The Multiple will be performing The Other Place at The Poly, Falmouth on Friday, November 4 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost from £8 to £10 and are available online at thepoly.org.
