Cheap Date Dance are back with their delicious blend of comedy, dance and theatre in a brand new show, Little Women, Big Balls, which will premiere in Falmouth on January 28.

Audiences can enjoy stories of fierce competition, sore winners and glorious losers, told through sporting triumph and trauma.

The dance company will be balancing a lot of big balls, both figuratively and literally, as they attempt to bounce, balance, beat and bash as many balls as they can manage while taking a heart-warming look at life’s ups and downs. From waking up a winner, to losing it all by lunchtime, Debbie and Lauren fumble their way through stories of match day glory to red card rejection. The two dancers’ opposing sporting backgrounds provide an ideal playground for dance, comedy and theatre to come together in a match that’s only won by stepping up to the plate.

Following the success of their first show, How We Lost It, the Falmouth-based company created Little Women, Big Balls, which showcases the powerful and exciting choreography of Grace Clayton, a highly qualified sports coach, fully skilled in all types of ball handling. Teaching and coaching children and adults across Cornwall, her expertise provides the foundation for a unique and innovative fusion of sports, dance and theatre.

This family friendly show sees dance, theatre, clowning, stand-up comedy and a ridiculous number of balls come together for an experience that you certainly won’t forget. The show will premiere at Academy of Music and Theatre Arts at the Penryn Campus, and continue on to Kehelland, Portreath, and Penzance before heading further up country.

Little Women, Big Balls will premiere on Saturday, January 28, at 7.30pm, at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts at Falmouth University, and tickets will cost £12, or £10 for concession.
