The New Pantheon Club, a Falmouth based mixed arts group, will present a brand new piece of contemporary theatre on Saturday evening.

The Play will premiere on March 25 at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA) at Falmouth University, exploring and challenging our relationship with truth, asking us to question the world we live in and the assumption we hold to be true.

From the contradictory position of playing themselves, Amelia Gibbs and Molly Ingle disagree about the meaning of the play and express their belief that they, and all the world, are infected with 'truths.' But how will director and ‘truth maker’ Andrea Hoff Utne feel, and can truth recover for the abuse it has suffered at the hands of humanity?

Written and directed by New Patheon Club founder and Falmouth University student Amos Jacob, The Play takes influences from his interest in the works of Albert Camus, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Samuel Becket.

The one act performance explores confusion, optimism and perspective, and asks the audience whether we should want it, whether we can have it, and if we could even know that we did.

Tickets for the production will follow a pay what you decide model, meaning once the show is over audience members can pay what they believe the show was worth. This is a great chance for individuals to attend a new style of performance without the risk of feeling they have over paid.

The Play is at AMATA, at Falmouth University, on Saturday, March 25, at 5.30pm and 7.45pm.
