An all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza is coming to Hayle next weekend with the presentation of Showstoppers by youth drama group CD Kids.

The group will perform at Hayle Community School on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 28, taking the audience on a journey through time.

CD Kids has selected some of the best known showstopper songs and dances, from musicals as diverse as Oklahoma and Mama Mia, with some Disney numbers and a bit of Bollywood thrown in too.

There will be some great performances from younger cast members and all the chorus members will give their full attention and energy to every number, ensuring viewers are drawn in to the stories as they are performed: With moving solos, full-cast blasts, and chorus numbers, the show is fast moving, entertaining and packed full of colour, light and energy, and the costumes are a feast for the eyes too.

The troupe, a registered charity along with its adult section Centenary Drama Group, is going from strength to strength, and has gathered many awards from the Cornwall Drama Association. In 2016 they were extremely proud to have been awarded the coveted title of Best Pantomime for the second time in four years, for their rendition of Frankenstein: the Panto, and also scooped Best Director and special awards for a shadow theatre scene and props.

Tickets are on sale online from ticketsource.co.uk/centenary-drama-group-cd-kids, and cost £8 for adults and £6 for under sixteens, and refreshments will be available at both shows.
