Helston's top talent will be coming to Falmouth ini August to put on a show of dazzling song and dance numbers at the Princess Pavilion.

Members new and old from Helston Theatre Company will be gathered together form Movies to Musicals, featuring numbers from classic films, accompanied by a live band.

Russell Hicken, who is new to HTC, is a professional actor and singer who trained at Mountview Theatre School in London, and has performed at every major touring house in the UK, including the New London Playhouse in the heart of London’s West End.

Alannah-Rose Egan, Bethany Lyne and Sophie Greenaway will be familiar faces to followers of Helston Theatre Company’s productions, having appeared in both Cinderella in January and RENT in April. Natasha Shrigley played the tough but vulnerable Mimi in RENT with HTC, and Lisa Topsey played Joanne. Both performers will be re-appearing in Movies to Musicals onstage, but Lisa has also choreographed and directed the production.

Helston is also pleased to welcome Bethany Francesca Flintham, Freya Sleeman, and other Helston regulars Carrie Thresher, Lisa-Jane Taylor and Andy Christophers.

Movies to Musicals will feature songs such as Bring Him Home, One Night Only, If I Loved You and Sister Act, to name but a few, all played live by an on-stage band. The show will be at the Princess Pavilion on August 4, 11, 18 and 25 at 8pm, and tickets are available from moviestomusicals.co.uk
