The Friends of Falmouth Health Centre would like to thank the generosity of Mr John Pill, owner of the MC motor vessel Princessa, for yet again giving us the opportunity to take 72 supporters of our charity for a summer cruise on the Falmouth River.

The weather was disappointing but everyone enjoyed the buffet and a commentary on local points of interest given by Ryan Medlyn. They also appreciated the kind and considerate help of Kieran, who served at the bar and who assisted those who needed his help on and off the boat.

Thanks should also be given to those who donated raffle prizes, notably the owners of the deli Picnic who gave a very generous donation and supplied scones, cream and jam; the Falmouth Hotel who gave a Sunday lunch for two; the Greenbank Hotel who also gave a lunch for two; and members of the committee who supplied the remainder of the prizes.

The Friends would also like to thank the supporters who bought tickets for the cruise. Without them we would not be able to buy vital equipment for the surgery which is not supplied by the NHS. These are truly our “friends.”
