We have had the benefit of a good summer with a good number of visitors, however that feel good factor is quickly tempered by the news that the docks are having to consider lay offs.

The impact on the docks which is caused by a lack of a decision on dredging (what is happening with that?) The town continues to look unloved with weeds and litter still evident.

The English Heritage information boards in the old stores at Pendennis’ Crab Quay can hardly be read due to dirt, and the buildings seem to be used as rubbish dumps.

If we wish to grow this town, we need, as residents, to put pressure on the decision makers to do what they are either elected or employed to do, and worry less about playing politics or taking a short term view as they will move onto another job soon!
