FOR many years I had the honour to take part in the remembrance parade in Falmouth.
A large group of veterans and the public proudly marching behind the standard of the Falmouth branch of the RBL. Unfortunately due to age and ill health I can no longer do so and have to watch. But what is most saddening was the absence of the Falmouth standard.
I have heard many rumours as to what has happened at Falmouth RBL, the strongest being that it was all due to bad blood between the Falmouth members and the county RBL officers. If this is the case then it is a disgraceful situation.
Surely this is something that requires investigation and sorting out so that in this very important year the people of Falmouth can again march behind the Falmouth standard in the next remembrance parade.
