I WOULD like to know where Cornwall councillors are going to relieve themselves next time they visit Falmouth seafront. Oh! I forgot. They only visit at weekends when the toilets are open, far too busy the rest of the week with council business, and toilets are always available at work.
Have they forgotten how many retired people live here, and the out of season visitors that the town is trying to encourage?
Mothers with babies and toddlers finding there are no facilities, what will they do? I belong to a group of U3A members and use Gyllyngvase beach twice a month.
On Monday last we witnessed many people cross legged but unable to find the relief needed. Amongst these were a number of delivery drivers who obviously use these facilities on a regular basis. I also walk the seafront regularly but will be thinking about carrying a bucket now instead of a handbag.
Come on Cornwall Council, open these much needed facilities again. I bet if you were visiting Falmouth for the first time and found a situation such as this you would not return.
