SHORTLY before its unfortunate demise, the Falmouth branch of the Royal British Legion commissioned a new Standard with the old one being “laid up” ie on display, in the Sanctuary at Falmouth Methodist Church.
Until present disputes are resolved and particularly in view of the significance of the 2014 event, I am sure that should either Mr Roberts or our Town Council approach Falmouth Methodist Church, their leaders would be pleased to loan out this Standard for the purpose of the town’s annual remembrance day parade and service.
