“IN response to Mrs W Collins of Camborne's letter in last week’s Packet, I would like to confirm that three of the four clock faces from the clock tower of the then bombed Trevethan School on Webber Hill (Board School Hill), in which she used to play as a young girl after Saturday morning pictures, were installed many years ago into a mini tower above the Art Gallery at the bottom of Webber Hill, but now have modern workings.”

“The clock bell was also saved during the demolition of the school and tower, and is safe in storage, with the view to hopefully to be put on display in the Municipal Building in the not too distant future.”

“With Falmouth rapidly changing from the day’s which the older generation of Falmouthians remember, I strongly believe that historic items, such as the above, have to be preserved, and put on public display for future generations of Falmouthians, and visitors alike to enjoy the rich history, and culture of Falmouth from by-gone years.”
