A year or so ago I wrote to the Packet bemoaning the fact that whilst all the green/garden areas on the seafront were, and are, still beautifully planted and maintained, that the open spaces in town itself were often weed-strewn and neglected, or at best receiving only occasional cursory care and attention – which seemed a shame as well as a lost opportunity.
And I believe I actually named the small garden at the top of Webber Hill as a particularly sorry example.
But you should see it now. An absolutely fabulous garden has been planted there. It looks a treat.
Now, I don’t know whether it’s the council or local people who have done it, but whoever you are, I take my hat off to you.
But, please, don’t stop there.
