A FEW weeks ago the Cornwall Council's Central Planning Committee bravely, in my opinion, unanimously refused a Planning Application by Wainhomes for a massive development on the outskirts of Probus, in Mid Cornwall, on land owned by a gentleman who lives in the parish and is supposed to be a custodian of our beautiful countryside.
At that time I wrote that the battle may be over but the war is not won because I predicted that Wainhomes would go to appeal and lo and behold, that is what has happened.
I hope that everyone who reads this and wishes to protect our wonderful county will write in no uncertain terms, opposing the application, to The Planning Inspectorate, Mr Stephen Wallis, Room 3/05 Kite Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol BS1 6PN.
Three copies of letters are required and please ask for a copy of the Wainhomes submission.
Localism is the name of the game and it must win the day.
