JUST for the record, the Falmouth Civic Society fully supported the development at St Michael's Hotel, objecting only to the design of the Liner Building, which we thought was not the best architecture.
We also supported a contemporary building design. Our suggestion to Cornwall Council is that the Liner Building be referred to the South West Regional Design Review Panel, who would give advice and assist in lifting the building to a much higher level, and that would make a building that could truly be iconic and one Falmouth could be proud of.
