WE read with horror that there are moves to allow dogs onto Castle Beach during the summer season.
Our family have used and loved Castle Beach sands and rocks for all of our 60 plus years; for many of those years the beach has been dog free. What a joy to let very young children roam and paddle without the fear of all the negative things attached to roaming dogs. We find it an utter cheek that dog owners see Castle users as a pushover, they are openly afraid to challenge the Gylly Beach users, well we will challenge the changes with all our possible channels.
As dog owners why don’t those people use the beaches on the eastern side of Castle Point, they are virtually unpopulated in the summer and parking is simple on the Point.
Consider our children and for us now, our grandchildren, they deserve a safe, clean haven for the summer months.
