I BELIEVE that relaxing dog control measure on any of Falmouth’s beaches would be a retrograde step.
The trend in modern society is always to seek improvements in public safety and protection of the environment. Relaxing dog control measures is contrary to these principles.
A hundred years from now it will be viewed with disbelief that we allowed domestic pets to defecate and urinate in public places.
Any relaxation of dog controls will portray Falmouth as a backward looking place rather than the modern, enlightened town that it has become.
