I WASN'T going to get involved in the dogs on Castle Beach debate. It is clearly an outrageous idea, but the arguments against have been forcefully and eloquently put here in the pages of the Packet.

There is, however, something I would like to say directly to the dog owners themselves.

Guys, I, like most people, try to lead a life where I never knowingly adversely affect someone else's life: Upset them, inconvenience them, anger them, cause them stress or whatever. It is, after all, just common courtesy to consider others.

And your dog's noise, mess and general needs really are your problem and should never become someone else's.

You have a perfectly lovely dog walking field with fabulous views. What's wrong with that?
