ON Friday Flushing held its first Christmas lights switch-on in front of a large crowd when the Kernow King had the honour of switching them on.
We were then entertained by Flushing’s school children, the Oggy Men, the Falmouth Salvation Army Band and Flushing’s very own Nankersey Choir.
It was a very successful evening and I was very proud of our village which only happened by the hard work and dedication by Shelly and Chris of Flushing Christmas lights committee; Sue Yates for the street market on behalf of the Village Club; Michelle for Santa’s grotto; Santa, Simon Thompson; Flushing Art for making the lanterns for the children's parade and everyone who helped in the past few months and weeks. Thank you all.
John Symons,
Chairman Mylor Parish Council
