Mike Truscott’s column last week was about my grandparents Thomas and Elizabeth Laity, who had 14 children.
My mother Norah was one of the girls and she married Tommy Bryant of Mylor.
Gran and grandpa were married for over 60 years, all their family visited them. We would always be meeting uncles and aunts.
My uncle Donald Laity is the only one left of the family and lives in Whistable, Kent.
I am fortunate to have so many cousins and two of them, John and Norman Laity, still live in Flushing, so the Laity names carries on.
Wonderful memories of my childhood and visits to Flushing.
