In your photo this week of The Way We Were the “unknown” man in the naval uniform was our brother David Bryant who had just enlisted in the navy. David joined the aircraft carrier HMS Unicorn and he was deployed in The Korean War for two years.
On his return to this country he was stationed at HMS Anthorn in the north of England but, sadly after a short illness he passed away on Oct 10, 1955 aged 25 years.
David left a wife and baby daughter age nine months, who we still see every year.
