Abacus Taxis are always ready to lend a helping hand.
My elderly mother, aged 89 years, lost her purse containing over £60 on Monday between Prince of Wales Pier and Rowes Bakery. Unfortunately no one has as yet handed it into the police station.
Distressed and without any money to get to her home at Denyer Court the lady in the cancer charity shop comforted her. Then my mother went to the Abacus taxi centre who took her home without charging her.
(She had been attempting to get to Rowe’s to buy pastries for her birthday tea the following day).
The following day my aunt and uncle were involved in a small car accident, but being elderly were quite upset. Once again Abacus taxis came to the rescue by returning them to their home without charge.
In this world of money grabbing giants it is so nice that humanity and kindness still exists in one of our local taxi firms. Thank you Abacus – you deserve an accolade in our local newspaper.
