Where are traffic wardens when they are needed? In Helston more often than not conspicuous by their absence.
Today walking down the steps by the Guildhall I was stopped in my tracks by the driver of a car pulling into the entrance to the museum and parking over the pavement (and therefore blocking the museum entrance), resulting in pedestrians having to move onto the cobbled area.
Ok if you are fit and able to walk on the large cobbles, difficult and dangerous if frail. Not to mention the difficulty steering a pushchair around the vehicle over the cobbles.
When challenged the driver (male) was quite rude and walked on up the steps to no doubt carry on his terribly important and urgent task.
