March 2015 has been designed as Prostate Cancer Awareness Week. Hundreds of men in Cornwall are living with the diagnosis of prostate cancer and many others have the condition as yet undiagnosed.

I am Secretary of Cornwall Prostate Support Association (CPSA) and would like to inform your readers of the existence of our group. We usually meet on the third Monday of every month at 7pm at The Victoria Inn, Threemilestone, Truro, except July when we have a lunch. Wives, partners and carers are welcome too because we know that they need support just as much as the sufferers.

On Tuesday March 3rd we will be having a stall at ASDA, Penryn, from 10.30 a m – 3 pm where leaflets giving information about prostate cancer and its treatment will be available and the people manning our stall will be very pleased to meet and talk with anyone concerned about prostate problems. We are also having a stall in the Trelawney Wing Entrance at the Royal Cornwall Hospital on 23rd – 25th March and again information on prostate cancer will be available.

Cornwall is a big county and support for prostate cancer patients is vital. We are a voluntary group of people who care about and understand the problems associated with prostate cancer.
