The Porthleven food and music festival this year I thought was the best ever.
The added attraction of having a bridge across the harbour proved very popular.
The money raised for the Fishermans Mission and the Porthleven skate park is great as they are very worthwhile causes.
I was in Porthleven on the Friday to see the mermaid set afloat in the harbour, this was the innovative creation by Helston Community College students who must have spent a lot of time and hard work on it, achieving a great result.
On Saturday and Sunday I returned for the various things that were going on, there was some amazing talent on display all round, including of course the Porthleven town band which is a favourite of mine.
I love fireworks and the display on Sunday night I think was an excellent ending to a wonderful event.
The organisers and volunteers do a fantastic job, deserve a big thank you, and should be very proud of all their efforts.
