On Mother’s Day this year I fell and injured both ankles. I would like to take this opportunity to show my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who cared for me then and ongoing.

In order – the Paramedics who came at once, the NHS Ambulance men, Treliske A & E (where I was seen immediately and spent a night), St Michael’s Hospital, Hayle (where I spent 17 nights), the nursing staff, the auxiliaries, the orthopaedic department, the NSL ambulance crews, the Westover District Nurses and, lastly the Truro STEPS teams.

Apart from the professionalism, which I expected, I had not anticipated such comforting kindness and humour from each and every one. I hope you will put this in as a tribute to the wonderful work done by Cornwall NHS, with my personal admiration and thanks.
