‘Dreadful death of ex-docks manager’ (FP, 15/7) and what a catalogue of shameful neglect imposed on an elderly individual - patient, by those tasked to look after all patients in their care; supposedly, kind and caring but in this case, the complete opposite.
How can this people – their employers, justify such atrocious inhumane actions/conditions?
Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust who merely trot-out a trite remark – and I quote, “Unfortunately, we are unable to comment on individual cases” should be hauled-up publicly a.s.a.p before an independent investigative body as one presumes they all had (at some stage) an input as to the actual appointment/training of staffing of those directly responsible within RCH Truro and Bodmin Hospital who – combined, but also in their patent failure to administer that degree of ‘care and compassion’ which one would anticipate be shown to all of our species, Homo sapiens – human beings, irrespective of age, sex, medical/health conditions or indeed religious persuasions.
I sincerely trust that ‘whistle blowers’ will not hesitate to step up to the plate re this case.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Mahoney,
Hayle
