I have recently been in touch with the Packet regarding a group drinking alcohol and urinating in full view of children in Kimberley Park.

The police and council had been aware of this group for some time and I had hoped that the police and council had done something to clean up the alarming problems in the park but obviously not.

Our family went to the park today, the children love it there but not only did we have to be extra vigilant owing to the attempted abductions, that have been reported but members of the same gang I reported to the Falmouth Packet, police and the local council were still in the park drinking.

The park is an alcohol free zone. Why are these people getting away with it I wonder? Also indecent exposure I thought was a very serious offence. But a WPC who contacted me when I first reported this said it is a 101 call not a 999. Absolutely unbelievable.

Reluctantly my family won't be going there again, it's way too risky. I think a lot of people feel the same, the park was the quietest I've seen it for a very long time. It's such a shame for decent people and their children to feel so unsafe in what should be a safe, friendly, happy, communal environment.

If we don't have the police to help us protect our little ones, who have we got?
